Karate kid legends is dropping this summer 2025 bringing back a new karate kid movie and we cannot wait for it.
Columbia Pictures unveiled the official trailer for Karate Kid Legends today, building anticipation well ahead of its spring debut. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 30, 2025.
The film stars rising talent Ben Wang alongside martial arts icon Jackie Chan karate kid legends and the beloved Karate Kid star Ralph Macchio.
Karate Kid Legends follows kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang), whose life takes a dramatic turn after a family tragedy forces him to move from Beijing to New York City with his mother. Struggling to adapt to his new environment, Li faces constant challenges from school bullies, despite his reluctance to fight.
When a friend finds themselves in danger, Li reluctantly enters a karate tournament but quickly realizes that his kung fu skills aren’t enough. Seeking guidance, his mentor Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) calls upon karate master Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). Together, they combine their fighting styles, setting the stage for an epic martial arts showdown that tests Li’s strength, resilience, and heart.
Karate kids.legends is definitely going to take a lot of people down memory lane as karate kid was one movie that gained a lot of fame and a huge amount of audience got emotionally attached. We’re hoping the new karate kid movie karate kid.legends does not bring us down.
Considering it’s a new karate kid movie its an obvious question to ask is karate kid.legends connected to Cobra Kai.
Since Cobra Kai came after karate kid of course the new karate kid.legends would have context with Cobra Kai. Karate Kid.Legend tagline, "Two branches, one tree" is also a hint of it being connected to Cobra Kai.
