The very popular Netflix carry-on hit was a 2024 movie that has had everybody wondering about a possible second part to this exciting series.

Carry on 2024 starts off slowly as we get to know Ethan. He’s a transportation security officer dealing with his girlfriend’s pregnancy and looking for some recognition at work. He complains to his superior and gets promoted. He gets a very stressful new assignment that tests him to the limit.
Shortly after Ethan arrives at work, he receives a phone call from an anonymous traveler (Jason Bateman). Jason Bateman demands that Ethan let a suspicious package that could destroy a plane, be on board. Ethan is cornered, under constant surveillance and his pregnant girlfriend’s life is in danger. To prove the threat is serious, the terrorist kills Ethan’s co-worker by drugging him and causing a heart attack.
While the plot is standard thriller fare, the conversations between Ethan and Nora and the villain give a clear idea of what goes on in each of their minds. The villain’s point of view is almost voyeuristic as he spits out bleak observations on society, manipulates Ethan and Nora’s relationship, exploits Ethan’s insecurities, and regains the upper hand whenever necessary.
The mission is Ethan’s is told through Officer Elena Cole as she struggles to piece together the conspiracy and how the attack was carried out. Two officers are pitted against a deadly adversary who will do anything to keep the innocent from being protected.
