Shortly into his shift, Ethan receives a chilling call from an anonymous traveler (Jason Bateman).  Jason Bateman demands that he allow a suspicious package onboard a package capable of destroying a plane. Under constant surveillance and with his pregnant girlfriend’s life in jeopardy, Ethan finds himself cornered. To drive home the seriousness of the threat, the terrorist orchestrates the death of Ethan’s colleague through a drug-induced heart attack, leaving him with no way out.

Though the story follows a typical thriller format, its core lies in intense conversations that delve into the minds of both the antagonist and his target. The villain is disturbingly voyeuristic, sharing grim views about society, manipulating Ethan and Nora’s relationship, exploiting Ethan’s insecurities, and reasserting control whenever needed.
