If you have read the perfect couple Elin Hilderbrand you would probably know what to expect but if not, you are in for a hell of a rollercoaster and confusion filled ride.
Elin Hilderbrand, who is also sometimes called the “Queen of beach read” has a certain formula of writing these kinds of thrilling novels that involve upper class wives and ungrateful husbands and mostly killing. And Susanne Bier has it all in the series. This could possibly turn out to be the most in sync adaptation of a book till yet and it all goes to Miss Bier.
A fragmented storyline packed with flashbacks, a diverse the perfect couple cast highlighting the show’s inherent generational gap, and a touch of social critique from disapproving officers shocked by the lavish lifestyles of their affluent suspects? Absolutely, without a doubt!
According to the perfect couple reviews, the story is that the prestigious Winbury family is gathering at their Nantucket home to celebrate the wedding of one of the three Winbury sons. The gaiety goes awry when the bridal party finds the bride’s best friend, Merritt, drowned, and all signs point to foul play.
The Perfect Couple on Netflix is a tantalizing blend of mystery, romance, and dark secrets. Set against the picturesque backdrop of a summer wedding on a wealthy New England estate, the story follows the unraveling of what seems to be a flawless celebration. As the preparations for the grand event intensify, a shocking murder is discovered, throwing everyone into disarray.
At the heart of the series is the bride, who comes from a modest background, juxtaposed against her affluent and powerful in-laws. As investigators dig into the lives of the wedding guests, long-buried secrets emerge. The seemingly perfect family is exposed as anything but, with tangled relationships, hidden grudges, and deceptive appearances taking center stage.
Viewers are hooked by the constant twists, shifting suspicions, and the slow-burn tension as alliances shift and motives are questioned. The allure lies in the way each episode peels back layers of the characters’ lives, turning a dream wedding into a nightmare. It keeps audiences guessing until the very end, ensuring they stay glued to the screen, hungry for answers.
However, its not just a thrilling experience for viewers but also includes unhinged humor that has people rolling on the floor and feeling bad at the same time to be laughing at a serious situation as in the series.
The perfect couple cast includes the ever gorgeous Nicole Kidman who is surely half the reason people were interested to watch the series as soon as it came out, then there’s Liev Schreiber, Billy Howle, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, Meghann Fahy and very interestingly Ishaan Khattar who’s an Indian actor and even more interestingly is Shahid Kapoor’s brother.
Most of the Indian audience were really excited to see Ishaan Khattar in the series which also explains the rise of Indian viewers for this specific series.
The perfect couple cast did half the job gathering audience since it was that amazing. Overall, its an amazing watch if you’re in mood of some thriller.
